FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT
Main responsibilities:
- Assist in the following tasks:
- Performance of the Accounts payable process
- Month-end processing Expense accruals
- Daily cash account reconciliations process and reporting/clearing of breaks
- Monthly securities position reporting and reporting of breaks
- Reporting for retrocessions
- Reporting for various expense items
- Ad hoc work to support all aspects of the Finance Team and back up for other
team members Core Skills and Knowledge
Other support duties: (possibility to learn and develop the below skills)
- Timely delivery of all SNB statistics and FINMA reports
- Month end, quarter end and year end closing:
- Fee and Interest accruals
- Preparation of the earnings analysis report and validation of it
- Preparation of various financial reporting schedules
- Group reporting (interaction with counterparts within the Group)
- Support various projects (system updates, group projects etc.)
- Point-of-contact for FiRE (regulatory reporting tool) and FOCUS ALM (asset
& liability management system)
Requirements:
- YOU SHOULD BE a partially or fully qualified accountant (desirable)
- YOU MUST HAVE previous Accounting experience within the financial services world
- know-how of Swiss Gaap and/or IFRS
- YOU MUST BE fluent in English and German (Spoken)
- Strong Excel knowledge is required
- Strong attention to detail
- Flexible, committed, proactive with a can do attitude
- Good interpersonal & communication skills
