OPERATIONS SPECIALIST (Securities Settlements)
Our Client is a globally active private bank offering wealth management investment services to Swiss and overseas Clients. With an established presence in Zurich they are looking to hire a new professional and experienced Securities (Wertschriften) specialist
OPERATIONS SPECIALIST (Wertshriften Settlements)
Within a reasonable time frame all Operations Team Members will be expected to fully cross-train onto the other area and be able to at least display a proficiency in the daily tasks in that area. The role and key responsibilities per area are as follows:
Securities
- Receipt and delivery of Securities Free of Payment (LOZ)
- Booking and/or validation of settlements and related cash bookings
- Settlement and transaction processing of all trades including subscription and redemptions of funds
- Booking of Private Equity transactions
- Investigation of non-settlement with counterparties, fund administrators, custodians, and clearing agents.
- Corporate Action processing, including posting of dividends/coupons as well as stock splits, spin-offs, capital increases, final redemptions, GDR Conversions etc.
- Investigation and clarification of differences and queries with counterparties, custodians, correspondents, fund administrators and brokers.
- Control and checking of taxes and fees
- Preparation of the following tax declarations:
- Stamp Tax - EU Savings Tax - QI Reporting to IRS (1042 and 1099 declarations)
Payments/Money Market
- Processing and controlling of incoming/outgoing money transfer orders including SWIFT management
- Processing of cheque collections and cheque payments
- Booking and settlement of all FOREX and Money Market transactions
- Handling of all cash transactions
- Setting up Standard Settlement Instructions and templates
- Processing all PostFinance transactions
Requirements:
- At least 1 year experience working in Securities (Wertschriften) Settlements
- Fluent in English, with German spoken knowledge
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with attention to details and client quality focused
- Take ownership of your role, you are energetic and you have the ability to think outside the box
